Ami’s “Mold” collection extracts inspiration from formations of fungi and is an investigation of pioneering textile in conjunction with innovative development. Technical discoveries with intense exploration and reinterpretation of mold develop more appealing and exceptional design distinctiveness, therefore exposing beautiful craftsmanship, projecting a romantic and contemporary feeling that inspires a sense of artistic playfulness.

Mold Collection(2016) is a wearable art inspired by the shapes, textures, and colors of mold(fungi).

After conducting a biological experiment with Ali Schachtschneider, a designer/researcher in biotechnology and the author of "Vivorium," and Annelie Koller, a multiscale designer and the author of "Cultivate," I studied how bacteria can be used as a design medium to create printed textiles supported by Gen Space.

The collection was created using various techniques including hand embroidery, knitting, felting, and painting.
